More homes. Done better.
We are a community organisation fighting for the community's voice to be heard in the design of the Thornbury Activity Centre — and for smarter, fairer density that creates opportunities for urban renewal, helps solve the housing crisis and protects our neighbourhood’s character.
The Problem
The Victorian Government’s Activity Centre Program is a rushed, top-down plan that fails in both process and outcome. It proposes major increases in development height across more than 60 Melbourne suburbs without meaningful consultation, transparency, or regard for local context.
The process has been opaque and predetermined, driven by political timelines rather than planning evidence, ignoring expert advice and community feedback. The result is a rigid, cookie-cutter model that risks dividing communities when it should be bringing us together to solve a shared housing crisis through genuine engagement and smarter, locally-led planning.
Thornbury is a prime example.
Our Solution
A smarter, community-led plan for Thornbury’s future — one that delivers more homes, supports growth, and protects what makes our suburb special.
Community backed

Developed from the feedback of nearly 1,000 residents across two major petitions, our plan reflects what Thornbury actually wants — fair growth that balances housing needs with local character and liveability.

More homes
Our model directs new housing and mixed-use development to where it makes sense — along St Georges Road and transport corridors — creating genuine capacity for more homes without overwhelming our residential streets.
Every element of our proposal responds to Thornbury’s unique conditions — its topography, infrastructure, heritage and village character — ensuring growth enhances, rather than erases, what makes this place home.
